WELCOME TO OUR HOME
If this is your pet's first visit to our home, we suggest that you and your pet should come for a visit to our home. When it is time for your pet to stay with us you should plan on spending about ten minutes registering him / her. It is at this time we can sit down and complete your pet’s personal history record to help keep your pet as safe and well taken care of as possible. Since it is a family home we do require Emergency contact info, any medical history that would help your pet have a happier stay such as, medication, allergies or behavioural.
Since we do have your animal in our home, we do try to keep their home schedule the same here. We do ask that you bring your dogs food and treats that your dog is given regularly, changing a dog’s diet while staying away from home is not recommended, for your dogs stay and safety. All your dogs belonging are put into their own bin for safe keeping until they go home.
Since we have started our IN HOME GUEST SERVICE, we have had a wide variety of pets of all ages as well. It is in my opinion that any age pet can board in an
IN HOME GUEST SERVICE facility due to the fact that they in our home, not in a kennel situation.
Knowing that your pets are in a home with other pets with our family members during their entire stay, I believe have a great benefit to the pets that stay with us.
From puppies to seniors, our home has been introduced to them all, and since we have pets of our own, to keep socialization and balance, we have had a great time having other pets in our home with us.
We can and have accommodated pregnant animals. A pregnant animal is always much better off at their immediate home, however if circumstances’ arise, we will take your pregnant animal and treat them with the love and care needed to keep them happy and rested
We do also accept what may be classified as aggressive / nervous / unsociable / problem animals. My husband and I have been doing this business, as well as animal behavioural training on the side. As well since it is my husband and I who do our
IN HOME GUEST SERVICE, we find it is more beneficial to these animals, as it is always my husband and I who take care of them on a daily basis. I have found that this is easier on the transition of staying with us as well as the daily routine with these pets. We would like to suggest if you are worried about your pet and his / her special needs, please come out with your pet to socialize with us, before their stay.
To protect your pet and others in our home, all pets entering our home must have seen their veterinarian within the past twelve months. Please advise your veterinarian that your pet will be a guest at our home with other pets, to allow them to give the complete serried of vaccinations required to keep all pets safe. All of the vaccines given are to protect against common diseases that affect many pets each year. Like in our family, I am sure that your pet is a valued member of your family, and having him / her affected by one of these preventable diseases can be avoided by a yearly booster program. One of the biggest diseases is Rabies; this disease can also be transferred to humans as well as pets. Since I and my family will be handling your pet during his / her stay we find it necessary that all pets are immunized against this terrible disease before allowed in our home. For the safety of your pets and others, these inoculations will only be needed as your pets are updated by your veterinarian. This will help contribute and maintain a healthier life span and also the well being of your pet.
