The Boxer

Boxers are friendly, lively companion that are popular as family dogs. Here at Eyespy our Boxers live with us on the couch and sleep on our children’s beds.  Our Boxers have a great love for our family especially for our boys. Their suspicion of strangers, alertness, agility and strength make them formidable guard dogs.  They sometimes appear at dog agility or obedience trials and flyball events.  Here at Eyespy Dogs our Boxers due compete in CKC Confirmation with both Holly and Grant. These strong and intelligent animals have been service dogs, guide dogs for the blind, therapy dogs, police dogs in K9 units, and occasionally herding cattle or sheep. Holly would like to try herding sheep at home with her husband Grant with her Boxers when they are Canadian Champions in CKC Confirmation. The versatility of Boxers was recognized early on by the military in both WW1 and WW2 which has used them as valuable messenger dogs, pack carriers and attack and guard dogs. Boxers have an average life span of 10 – 12 years, here at Eyespy Dogs we treasure our Boxers as family and hope to keep the Boxer Standards for years to come.  We hope that we can provide our Boxer puppies with home that will love and cherish them as much as we do.
