Grant has been involved in training dogs for since 1994. His first training dog was a Belgian Tevern named Loki. Loki passed away in 2006, but left everything she was taught behind with Grant, so more dogs could become as perfect as she was. Also in this time, Grant worked in a Veterinary Clinic. In Stouffville Ontario. Grant has also helped train many owners of pets in basic behavioural training at their homes. With all of Grants knowledge of animals and mostly dog behaviour Grant can help train, puppies to older dogs, as well as dog aggression.
In the late 1990’s Grant watched a Sheep Herding trial on television and at that moment Grant knew what he wanted to do. Grant put his plan together to have a sheep farm and train and trial in sheep herding competitions and that is how EyeSpy Dogs was born. All the Border Collies that are from EyeSpy Dogs are bred for their working ability, temperament and good health. Grant also does one on one training with dogs and their owners in Sheep Herding at his home.
In 2000, Holly, Grant’s wife, joined the EyeSpy Dogs team and brought along her breed, Boxers. Holly and Grant both show the Boxers in CKC Confirmation shows around Ontario. As well, their son Sebastian is also doing CKC Confirmation with Cardigan Welsh Corgis.
Holly main love is her "In-Home" boarding. Holly has found her love of dogs has helped her find the best way to have dogs happy who are away from their owners is to have them in your house, not in kennels. This way the dogs that are guests at Holly’s house can still follow the way of life they are used to at their own home. Dogs are better behaved and better socialized when in a home environment; Dogs are put with the Eyespy Family, K9 as well as Holly and Grants 3 boys, Sebastian, Ethan and Gavin. On 10 acres there are lots to do and the only staff is Holly and Grant. With Grants medical background, Holly and Grant can take care of animals who need medications or have special needs.
Together Holly and Grant are passing along their love for animals onto their children Sebastian, Ethan and Gavin so good training and love for animals can continue for years to come.
We look forward to serving you and your pet’s needs. |
